Xia Yisheng, born in February 1964 in Changning, Hunan Province, a member of the Communist Party of China, a doctor of Literature with first-class literary creation qualification; currently the Party Secretary and Vice Chairman of Hunan ProvincialFederation of Literary and Art Circles, the Vice President of China New Literature Society, the Director of China Literature and Art Critics Association, and the Editor-in-Chief of Literature Forumand Xiangjiang Literature and Art; mainly engaged in literary criticism and literary theory research; published nearly 100 articles on literary criticism and theoretical research in People's Daily, Guangming Daily, Literary Newspaperand other publications; presided over the research tasks of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Hunan ProvincialFederation of Society and Sciences, Social Science Planning Project and Social Science Achievement Evaluation Committee, and listed in the third-level candidate of "New Century 121 Talent Project" in Hunan Province; won the Literary Review Awards of 6thand 7thChina Federation of Literary and ArtCircles;participated in the advanced training course of public management for young and middle-aged leading cadres in Hunan Province and studied at the University of San Jose, California, USA from September to December, 2010; published a monograph on literary criticism Cultural Mirror Image in the Consumption Age.
