[Hunan Today] Li Weiwei Visits Academicians, Experts Engaged in Communication Services

Hunan Daily, January 20 - (Reported by Reporter Chen Ang’ang) Li Weiwei, Chairman of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), came to Central South University and HUTB to visit Zhong Jue and Chen Xiaohong, Academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering on the morning of January 21, before the Spring Festival. Li extended Spring Festival greetings and sincere wishes to the academicians.
She was joined by Zhang Dafang and Lai Mingyong, Vice Chairmen of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, and Qing Jianwei, Secretary-General of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC.
"I wish you a happy Spring Festival and happiness for you and your family," said Li during her visit to Academician Zhong Jue's laboratory. She asked about Academician Zhong Jue's health and living conditions with genuine care, repeatedly asked Academician Zhong to take good care of herself and wished her health and longevity. In recent years, Academician Zhong has led her team to make a breakthrough in the research and development of aerospace high-performance component manufacturing technology, and made great contributions to China's aerospace industry and the construction of national defense. Li Weiwei pointed out that Academician Zhong Jue has been on the frontline of innovation for a long time. She has aimed for the national cutting-edge and world-class technologies in her scientific research, closely integrated her work with economic development, and provided strong support for the implementation of Hunan's strategy of innovation-driven opening up and rejuvenation. Li called on relevant departments to actively keep their services in line with the scientific research and industrialization development of Academician Zhong Jue's team.
Academician and HUTB President Chen Xiaohong is a renowned engineering management expert in China. She has headed more than 30 national major and key projects. During the visit, Li Weiwei learned in detail about the research achievements that HUTB has made in recent years in the fields of big data analysis, the construction of the Internet of Things and blockchain application. She pointed out that under the leadership of Academician Chen Xiaohong, HUTB has not only cultivated a group of talent who can serve Hunan's development once they graduate, but also promoted the broad application of new technologies in traditional industries and served Hunan's high-quality economic and social development. She extended sincere wishes for HUTB to make more new achievements and cultivate more talents in the new year.
