A Delegation Led by Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician and HUTB Party Secretary, Inspects the Site Selection of Xiangjiang Laboratory

On the morning of May 15, Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician, HUTB Party Secretary and Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Li Zhijian, Party Secretary and Head of the China Hunan Provincial Science & Technology Department, inspected the site selection of Xiangjiang Laboratory in the Changsha National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. The inspection was attended by Lu Xianhua, a member of the Party Organization, Deputy Head and first-grade inspector of the China Hunan Provincial Science & Technology Department, Guo Lifu, Vice Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Changsha National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Peng Jingdong, second-grade inspector of the China Hunan Provincial Science & Technology Department, Guo Gong, Director of Changsha Municipal Science & Technology Bureau, Yi Mianyang, HUTB Vice President, and heads of relevant divisions and offices of the China Hunan Provincial Science & Technology Department.
The delegation visited the Beidou Microchip Industrial Base, and was briefed on the construction, land use planning, infrastructure, industrial supporting facilities and environment.
Constructing Xiangjiang Laboratory is one of the major initiatives to implement the major decisions of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the People’s Government of Hunan Province and comprehensively implement the strategic positioning and mission of “Three Highlands, Four New Missions”. Academician Chen Xiaohong stressed the need to accelerate the overall arrangement of Xiangjiang Laboratory, strengthen responsibility and collaboration, refine the division of responsibilities, and speed up the orderly construction of Xiangjiang Laboratory in a planned, step-by-step manner.
After the conclusion of the inspection, under the guidance of Academician Chen Xiaohong and leaders of the China Hunan Provincial Science & Technology Department, the Preparatory Office of Xiangjiang Laboratory convened a special meeting to earnestly evaluate the implementation plan for recent construction of Xiangjiang Laboratory, so as to accelerate the preparatory work for the construction of Xiangjiang Laboratory.
