HUTB Holds the Finals of the 28th College English Speech Contest

On the afternoon of May 31, the finals of the 28th HUTB College English Speech Contest undertaken by the School of Foreign Languages was held at the Yingcai Lecture Hall of the South Campus.
The contest was divided into two parts, namely “prepared speech” and “impromptu speech”. 22 finalists gave a 3-minute prepared speech on the topic of “China's Wisdom for the World” and a 2-minute impromptu speech on the topic extracted on the spot.
During the contest, the contestants displayed literacy grace, confidence and composure, high spirits and vivid language expressions, which helped the audience to better understand the topic of “China's Wisdom for the World”. Their performance attracted applause.
After two hours of fierce competition, Peng Yuxuan and Xiao Yufang won the first prize of professional group, and Kuang Yongyi, Xu Ruoyin and Hu Tianzhu won the first prize of non-professional group; Xia Yizhe and Zhang Suilin won the second prize of professional group, and He Zhou, Wu Yue, Yang Yuxuan and Tan Xinyi won the second prize of non-professional group; Yuan Jiahui and Xie Zhengrong won the third prize of professional group, and Zhu Siqi, Yang Ruibing, He Lu, Tang Yongting and Huang Xiaohui won the third prize of non-professional group.
